Amex Platinum $200 "Dining credit" towards a list of Global Restaurants

I went to Nomad in early December when it was still on the list. It was the only reason why I went there as it was my last opportunity to use the credit. Fantastic meal, but still waiting for my credit. I called yesterday and was told it could take up to 90 days to process. This news has me slightly worried I won’t see my $200 without a fight.

I think they probably dropped with the refreshed dining credits on 1 Jan.

Nomad was definitely on the list just a few weeks prior to your meal - I visited in mid Nov. Did the bill appear on your statement like below as Nomad 16000 Surry Hills? (the credit came through the next day for me)

Do you still have the tax invoice? You may need it to get Amex to process the credit.

If you don't have it, you might be able to get a copy by calling Nomad and giving them the date/total transaction amount. (I'm sure they get this sort of request a fair bit with boozy business lunches..)

Thanks for that post. Prompted me to check- Perth has changed a bit, too. This is disappointing as I had a booking for tonight expressly to use the credit and now it’s too late to change.

For people in Perth- Balthazar and Shadow now gone too. 6Head is new and Rockpool is back.

Fleur was meh fwiw - are the others any better? Will definitely be trying a different place with this years credit.

I didn’t mind it, though. Balthazar was good. Le Rebelle was good.
Dunno what you are after, tbh. Perth dining they’re all about the same level- just all expensive and I think mostly just below a 1 star standard

I tried Hearth again, first time in a while (basically since opening), and the degustation was excellent! Really great use of flavours and a decent experience.

Don’t get me started about the fact they served red wine at room temperature (in December in Perth) tho

I managed to get the soul bar Auckland to let me buy voucher late Dec 23 I used it yesterday the food was fabulous so keep in mind for this year

Recently used part of my credit in Auckland at Andiamo in Ponsonby. It is not exclusively a steak restaurant but I really enjoyed the steak I had there. Other people dining with me also really enjoyed their (non-steak) meals.

Would have said Nomad until it got removed recently they were super accommodating when we took our then 8 month old.

North Bondi Fish has a kids menu, and it's quite common to see families at Cafe Sydney. The food at Totti's is also fairly child friendly.

I've only done M&WCo in Melbourne but they are kid-friendly and I imagine it's similar in Sydney.

As an FYI I bought a voucher at Tattu in Manchester and it didn’t trigger the credit. Obviously use a different merchant between in-restaurant and online vouchers!

We do Meat and Wine co with our two (3 and 5yo), the kids menu is reasonable and they are never the only kids in the restaurant.

So annoyed I used wrong card at end of last year at my Australia and Europe visits - my mistake - missed the $400 credits for 2024 - oh well - off to Honto while in Brisbane on Weekend -
Anyone have any great places in Tokyo to suggest
