Emirates restricts first class awards to elite members only

It seems QF is enhancing lots of EK availability lately, or a glitch

No seats in any class from mid March next year AU to DXB

MLE to DXB none at all for any dates.

Now F gone from many more routes

This was last night as I've been ranting in another thread about availability disappearing

Can someone with status or a contact raise this with QF as I cant get past AI and auto responses

Those F availabilities between LHR-DXB have magically disappeared overnight now

Qantas is apparently aware of the issue and fixing it. fingers crossed.

MEL or MLE?
Male to Dubai simply has zero seats now available. Last week you could get 4 x J and 2 x F most flights, most days. Now only Srilankan Airlines....

Melbourne to Dubai Nothing in J or F from Early March onwards and nothing in Y from Mid March onwards. This has been like this for months

I tried calling yesterday to book, but had no luck — the call center rep had no idea about the Qantas award chart changes or the missing Emirates flights. I’d been watching for a First Class seat on June 22nd, and the last one that showed up was for June 18th. Then everything disappeared — even Business class 😞 I was so close!

Still holding out hope that it’s just a glitch and Qantas will fix it soon. Wishful thinking, maybe… but we’ll see.

We are going to get nowhere with Qantas

The response from QF:

"I've just got a response from the QF media team who confirmed no change in policy on first awards with EK. They also pointed out that award space is controlled by EK. Still waiting on EK to respond but I'm starting to think this is a tech glitch when they updated on the 5th."

Laughable

Oh and Welcome to AFF :) We share your pain here!

Haha so much pain!

Well that gives me hope. I was going to start looking for other routes home but think I’ll hold out for a little longer …I’ll keep the group posted if I get lucky :-)
