Jakarta Day room hotels

Hello,

Are there any hotels offering day rooms at CGK?

I stayed at Anara on my way to the EU a couple of weeks ago, but they do not offer day rooms. Jakarta Airport Hotel offers day rooms; apparently, guests can just show up at reception if they need a short stay.

Can anyone confirm this or perhaps recommend a hotel with day rooms at CGK?

I can’t answer RE Jakarta airport hotel but I assume you’re arriving early morning and departing later the same day?

If you can’t find anything else, you could enquire with the Ibis Budget or Ibis Styles (they’re side by side a short drive from T3). They don’t appear to offer “day rooms” online but at ~A$50 per night, you might be able book for the night before and then arrange a late check out.

I’ve stayed at the Ibis Styles twice this year (and back in a few weeks). As Accor Gold, they've given me an automatic late checkout to 4pm (which I pushed to 5pm on my last visit). Plus a private free transfer back to T3.

They have a regular shuttle from T3 to the hotel but I’ve never managed to get that to work. Easier to grab a Grab (or equivalent).

Thanks for your suggestion SYD.
Yes, arriving 8am and leaving with QF42 at 8:45pm.

@JanP there are plenty of airport hotels nearby with cheap rates, probably cheaper than you’d pay for a day room in many other countries.

A Grab or Bluebird will cost a couple of dollars each way.
Ibis Styles is fine and generally $40-$70 depending on when you book. They notionally have a shuttle but it doesn’t run very frequently.
Also look at FM7 hotel which also has a shuttle and I think is nicer that I.Styles. Usually about $70 per night. Also consider Swiss Bel and Orchardz near the Ibis.
If you need a less local hotel and more Westernised version, there is a new Fairfield very close to the Ibis generally around $100. I don’t know if it has shuttles but given how cheap taxis are, it doesn’t really matter.

Thanks Scarlett.
I am not sure if I can just pay for 1 x night and ask for very late check out, I am ok to pay extra for that. But when staying at Anara before they were willing to give me just 2 extra hours even if I was willing to pay.

Hey! I recently had a layover at CGK and ended up staying at the Jakarta Airport Hotel. It was super convenient for a quick rest, and they really did let me just walk in and check in without any hassle. I also heard good things about the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Hotel for day rooms if you want more options.

Thanks for sharing your recent experience.
Its good that people can just walk in and check in.
Is it easy to get there from Terminal 3?

Anara Airport hotel. Stayed here many times for around $100. Connected to the airport. Super easy.

I just e-mailed the Anara. They don't have 'transit' (day use) stays. Earliest check-in noon. But I'll be using them for a regular overnight stay at the other end of the trip.

There is a new Anara on the domestic side of CGK t3. Maybe they do a day rate.

Plot thickens. Anara International and Grand Anara, the latter doesn't pop up on Google maps unless searched for

I e-mailed the Ananra; will now do the Grand, thanks.

As well as a day stay, I'm after a straight overnight one between international flights. I guess the 'Anara International' would be the best choice?

Yes, I recently stayed overnight at the Grand Anara between international flights and it was a longer walk

Grand Anara also say they don't do day use rooms.
What ALL Accor status do you have? The Ibis Styles will happily do a late checkout to about 4pm (maybe 5pm). Pre-pay the night before could still be only A$50-$70.

Accor Plus Plat. Actually looking at the Mercure PIK now.
Again, if you just prebook the night before and make sure you let them know that you’re arriving AM, it’s probably a better option than the airport hotels because there’s bugga’all to do - other than get a Grab to PIK for lunch! 😂

No idea what if any shuttle they have?

But you might want to compare an airport pickup via Trip.com (or other OTAs) because the Grab premium airport surcharge takes a $2 ride to $25+ (well that’s not exactly huge…but the convenience of having Mr Man meet you at arrivals and take you direct to a car is 1000% better than the hot mess CGK arrivals can be! There’s a recent LL article about the great value Indon airport transfer can be (which I found recently in China were crazy good value).

Yeah, we have never stayed out the airport. We either go into town for a couple of days like we are doing in October and have done plenty of times previously or we have an overnight stopover we head to PIK. Agree wholeheartedly on a transfer sometimes being a better option. The Mercure is not a bad stay and you can head to the mall for some shopping and plenty of restaurants around the area. The Swissotel PIK is a usually $40-50 more but does give you the EL if that appeals to you
