Easiest way to keep kids' QF points from expiring

So Kid A to Kid B to Kid C to Wife to me, shipping all points out each time? Just want to make sure I understand the process...

Yeah that's pretty much how we used to do it, if the kids had low balances.

But the minimum transfer threshold is lower these days, so no need to do the conga line thing.

Min family transfers is 1500 pts, so if any family members has less than the minimum, you need to top them up from a family member with 1500pts, that then opens the gate to transfer out. If above the threshold, you can transfer straight to the end account.
Note that the end account expiry date, is not reset by these transfers, so this account is the one you need to make sure does not expire
