Pity you cannot catch a NSW train that hasn't had graffiti scratched into the window glass. Don't see it on European trains...can't speak for Asian trains but I would be surprised.

Agreed. I look at 200yr old ancestor graves in little villages and wonder what life was like for them. Those who worked the land through European winters must have been so cold, even after they came home to their families. They didn't have the luxury of warm clothes we know today. And the ones who fished the North Sea must have been permanently chilled to the bone seeking apricity.

Soft, was a word that sprung to my mind too, after years spent bouncing along the Gibb River Road in the 80s.

The iconic Pentecost River crossing and coughburn Range, Gibb River Road, now.

(The Outback Spirit coach has Starlink.)

At least the Pentecost crossing is still the same standard.

We stayed at the glamping Emma Gorge Resort section of El Questro. Perfectly good. The Lodge is OTT.
