Strategy to obtain US Amex

I have applied a new US Amex credit card and wait for 10 days to get a replacement card.
Adding mailing address as Australian address to account, will that be any issue?

Has anyone had issues putting larger amounts of spend on Chase Cards recently? I'm looking to spend around 12-13K USD on a car purchase through a dealership. I've been putting smaller spend on the CSP since approval in December 23' and have two other Chase cards. I'd rather not go through fraud review if this amount of spend automatically triggers it. Unfortunately I can't use Amex as they don't take it.

If the card is old large purchases should not matter .

Agree - new card - second statement and I put through about 7K this month (spread out over the month) - if its well below what your monthly limit is can't see too much of an issue
Why not break it into 3 smaller parts over a few days if that works

You could buy. $1000 visa gift cards from office works using your Amex and then use them at the dealer .

Not a bad idea. Might need to mix it up a little to avoid the 1.5% merchant fee surcharge that kicks in over 5k. Does anyone know if an Officeworks gift card gives 5x Points on the Business Ink Cash card? Other Officeworks purchases have worked for me. If so that might be another option.

Yes I was buying Officeworks gift cards to make my minimum spend and I got 5x. I also used a subsequent card, the Ink Unlimited a few months later to put about $6000 AUD from a car dealer with no issues. I do have about 15 years of history with Chase though. YMMV

I only have a small credit limit on the Ink Cash anyway so i'd probably only spend $1500 US on gift cards but still a good return with the 5x.

I am also in need of some GC as most of my payment not accepting Amex. Plus sniip and payDotCom not accepting U.S cards.

However, If we are buying GC from OW, we do not get any points, am I right? What about Coles, Do we get any base points with Coles if buying GC without any Promotion? Been struggling to find a decent place to get GC. I don't have Ink Cash but working on SUB for Amex and the fee for using Amex is so high.

What are you doing to keep the Cost/Fee of using U.S Amex down please? Especially when working on Big spending requirement like 15K or 20K.
