Mrs SS has earnt a Qantas award choice of 50SCs or 8k points. She has already maxed out on the 20k points from flying but wonder if the award points will count towards PC qualification or whether they count in the flying bucket. Anyone know for sure?

Loyalty bonus points do not count at all towards Points Club, according to this page.

I didn't realise that "Priority phone service when you call the Frequent Flyer Service Centre++" was a thing on the PC and PC+ benefits list, is this a different level of priority to the "Priority Phone Service" offered to the FF tiers (not counting the VIP Service Team that P1s have access to)?

That’s priority when you call the frequent flyer service centre, not the booking call centre.

I wish I was that close. Not sure if I will retain, but then I haven’t been making classic reward bookings which would be the main benefit of it for me at least.

You can transfer up to 20k points now. I also realised the other day that my wife is getting points that could be going to my a/c and hence our PC totals.

Business points would help a bit, but even if I did that I would still be about half-way to retaining at the moment.

Does Qantas provide the vouchers for retaining points club if you also achieve points club plus during the membership year? The website says that it will be provided when the membership year renews, but Qantas customer care is saying that you only receive the voucher for the highest tier achieved.

Far as I can recall, I've only received one lot of vouchers per year (i.e. for the highest level achieved).

Same experience. I received both the $50 and $100 hotels voucher the first year in 2023, but for 2024 I only got the $100 one. Might have been a change of policy or just random Qantas things that I got both in the first year, but I fought them hard via multiple emails on the missing $50 voucher for the second year and they did not budge.

The first year makes sense. You may not achieve the second level and that was Mrs R's experience to get both. I think she might have received the $50 version at the end of the next year when she didn't qualify at the higher level, but emphasis on I think.

Does your dashboard show PC+ until 30 June 2026?

If so, probably not too far away for the vouchers? I’d probably contact them if nothing after 2 wks.
