slightly different query - I had CR flight MEL/SIN/DPS with last flight on 3K. As a result of the shutdown QF moved me to direct MEL/DPS flight which is great. There is a difference in taxes & charges (ie I paid via SIN which is high (circa $240) and now going direct which is low (circa $110)). New eticket issued with 0.00 as taxes - so no adjustment down or refund - should I be entitled to cash refund?

Should you be entitled to a cash refund? Probably.

Will Qantas refund you that money? In my experience, no.
