Qantas reciprocal relationship with KLM/Air France (2020 onwards)

Now Iberia, that has been my challenge this week! Nightmare of hours online and 4 phone calls in an attempt to get my QFF added… will report back today if it was actually added.
What’s the problem? I’ve had several IB flights and been able to add FF details.

They do have a mix of PNR types that doesn’t help. I find the app is usually ok.

KLM is not a code share, so you cannot add your QFF number. It is a reciprocal arrangement.
I booked OPO-AMS on KLM website last year and was able to put in my QFF number without issue and select seats @Port Power @05flyer
QFF points came through day after the flight - no SC's as per the calculator.

Interestingly, at online check in, offered upgrade to J for €119.
As I had injured my ankle, thought "what the heck" and accepted the upgrade.....then realised it was only for one pax, Mr Flyfrequently was still in Y 🤦‍♀️

Lined up at checkin anyway and snapped up another J seat for him.

Does anyone know if QFF Redemptions for KLM in J receive all the usual benefits (particularly a Delft House, between SIN and DPS/CGK)

You do get all the usual J benefits. I'm not sure if they give Delft houses on the Southeast Asian fifth-freedom routes but if they do, you'd get one on a J reward ticket.

and whatever lounge they use at either end.

Anyone know what they are?

Could someone help me please. Does anyone know when booking a KLM award seat in Business in Qantas what is the booking class on the reservation?

Are you talking about redeeming Flying Blue points on Qantas, or Qantas points on KLM? If the latter, KLM Business rewards book into O class when using Qantas points.

I did a KLM reward flight last year and did not earn any QF points or SCs.

QF points on KLM - good to know the booking class is O for rewards - thanks

I assume that AF business class O (paid) gets Qantas points (the https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...g-tables/earn-category-tables.html#air-france seems to suggest so.
Supposing it is a paid fare, and not an award ticket from a frequent flyer program like Qantas, Delta, KLM or Air France, then yes you would earn Qantas points at the Business class rate. Importantly, status credits won't be earned since the flight is not operated* by the Qantas Group or a OneWorld airline.

Does anyone know if all KLM and Air France flights are available to book through Qantas?

I'm trying to find a mixed itinerary (MEL to LIS via Singapore) - but the itinerary I found on KLM website is not coming up on Qantas multi trip...

Not sure if that's because they offer limited flights for booking via Qantas codeshare?

Or maybe it's because KLM and Air France offer very aggressive 1 hour transfer times through their hubs...

Or maybe it's just because Qantas multi trip is just not good enough?

Any insight would be welcome

Looks like the QF codeshares on AF/KL are quite limited.

Looking at the QF route map (in the inflight mag), LIS isn’t shown as a QF destination. Comparing that to actual searches, it appears that means that there are no QF coded flights to LIS.

You can book BA coded flights ex LHR and EK code ex DXB.

I just booked classic reward seats from IST to PER (via AMS) and Qantas website offered only KLM. Much depends on the route. All KLM itineraries are not available as codeshares.

Thanks. They do offer some flights ex Singapore, but not all. I guess they don't want to compete too much with kangaroo route.

I'm trying to change flights to avoid middle east if I can, and unfortunately the missus is really against the idea of going QF via LHR with 5 hour layover :///

I was under the impression that there are no QF codeshares onwards to Europe from AMS, is this not the case?

Correct, AFIK only the flights into CDG and AMS from SIN (and possibly HKG with AF also). QF coded flights would be limited to EK and some residual BA routes (again, AFAIK). Probably mostly driven by the EK agreement?

For LIS, there are zero QF coded flights in / out from anywhere - again, AFAIK. Not even EK. That was showing up only with EK codes.
