Indeed we engaged Flux Creative - A multi-disciplined design, development and communication studio. - they are situated a drop kick from our operations we we can get face to face anytime which was always going to be a prerequisite for whoever we contracted.

We have not engaged to build Shopify rather it is general digital marketing that they will be undertaking for us but online sales portals is certainly in their scope of operations

Shopify have a reputation for suddenly holding payouts without notice/warning and taking a longtime to resolve the hold. Plenty of threads on the shopify community pages about their behaviour. The ferry company Nomadic Aviation had this happen to their Shopify account.

I'm in NW Tassie and there is nobody local to me, after a bit of a search and receiving proposals from a few vendors I engaged a company but there were a few things that they neglected to tell me and the relationship is rapidly breaking down.

It appears that they use contractors to actually do the grunt work, and the project manager / Shopify site builder they engaged for my job lives in Bali and so when I ring their office not only could they not transfer the call to her - they didn't even know who she was when I asked to be put through to her (this was before I learned that she lived in Bali).

The proposal they sent me listed a cost range/estimate for each stage of the project based on the number of hours that they thought that it would take, however they left a few line items out and a major ongoing cost that pretty much doubles the ongoing monthly costs.

To say the least I am not happy!

I will let you let you know next week - I have received an email today where he has admitted fault - we will see what remedy they offer next week.
