Don't appear overly excessive - don't want car for 6 days mid trip so it would have just been silly to not book 2 x o/w - it is what it is

Any Charles Rennie Macintosh building. School of Art. Kelvingrove art and museum. George square lions. Cathedral. Botanic gardens.Shish Mahal restaurant where chicken tika masala was created.

The street art/murals are impressive around Glasgow


The Kelpies - we stayed after closing/dark to do night photography but still nice during the day


The Falkirk - take a 40min boat ride up/down or just watch it in action


Glasgow university Cloisters. The day we were here the twitchers were all in a twitter because they had hunting hawks (or falcons) in the grounds

What did they do apart from basic delivery of food and wine to justify 14.5% service charge?

And what was the cover charge for if they charged for bread?

Last time I had it was years ago in Scotland, and it was yummy

I was invited to a ladies home in Melb for a family beef welly lunch once but decided not to go

@Cruiser Elite do you intend to visit Balmoral Castle, Queen Elizabeth's favoured abode?
The Fife Arms Hotel is in the town of Braemar 15 minutes away, Decorated with an eclectic collection of antics, ever seen Picasso paintings hung on a wall in the public area. Walk into some of the other rooms and second floor amazing. The Clunie dining room for dinner is superb.

I remember I found the St Mungo's Museum of Religious Art in Glasgow really informative and entertaining.
