A totally unexpected surprise

I was on Emirates J on a birthday a few years ago. I was surprised when 3 staff came up with little cakes, a birthday card and the instant camera for some birthday photos. It did break up the long flight and it seems a nice gesture. That’s the only time I have had this in a birthday flight.

On a qantas regional charter flight recently between Adelaide and Port Lincoln as I entered the cabin the flight attendant handed me an envelope personally addressed to me which contained a happy birthday card 2 days prior to my birthday which was a nice gesture.

On a recent SYD-HND (Y) 2 days after her b-day, the cabin manager came by and gave my wife a branded hat, keychain and amenity kit.

Only time I ever got given a bottle of wine on a QF flight was as an apology after the FA spilled Bob Hawke's glass of red all over my leg.

Ahh that’s cool! I’m flying internationally 4 days before my birthday this year, guess I’ll miss these sorts of celebrations by a few days
