Cathay Pacific returning to Adelaide

Hopefully they can move CNS and ADL to year round. Seems to be demand especially from the recent CNS period.

Government still in talks with 2 other airlines with one being JAL so for QFF’s there is the possibility of another option too
Any idea who the other one is?

ADL becoming quite popular suddenly with UA to SFO and JAL to NRT would not have thought that would be an option!

I received an AMEX cash back offer today for CX, spend $3,000 get $300 back.

ADL does have an advantage of being outside capacity limited departure points to certain countries under various IASC governed air services agreements.

Seems a fair few within the seasonal flying period. November all the way to March.
Makes sense given more aircraft typically available during this period with less seasonal flying up in the northern hemisphere.

Anyone look at award availability? Hopefully more options to use QFF

Was able to book Classic Reward Premium Economy seats with CX using QFF points last night for HND-HKG-ADL (after a couple of meltdowns on the Qantas website).

The point difference between the Classic Rewards Plus on QF (going via SYD/MEL) v Classic Rewards Premium Economy on CX, plus the benefit of being able to transit in HKG instead of SYD/MEL made it a no brainer for us.

Plus as an av geek, looking forward to hopping on my first A350 flights
