Hopefully they can move CNS and ADL to year round. Seems to be demand especially from the recent CNS period.

ADL becoming quite popular suddenly with UA to SFO and JAL to NRT would not have thought that would be an option!

Yes. Managed to snag a business reward seat in Jan.

Seems a fair few within the seasonal flying period. November all the way to March.

ADL does have an advantage of being outside capacity limited departure points to certain countries under various IASC governed air services agreements.

Makes sense given more aircraft typically available during this period with less seasonal flying up in the northern hemisphere.

I found reference to Plaza Premium being the only lounge a couple of years back, though maybe there'd also be the option of trying out the new Qantas (domestic) lounges before heading through immigration?

Cathay website lists the Qantas Club as the lounge (and believe this is what they used previously).

AFAIK Cathay hasn’t applied to use the PP so it will be the QF lounge they use.
Would be nice if more airlines used the PP ( looking at you QR )

Was able to book Classic Reward Premium Economy seats with CX using QFF points last night for HND-HKG-ADL (after a couple of meltdowns on the Qantas website).

The point difference between the Classic Rewards Plus on QF (going via SYD/MEL) v Classic Rewards Premium Economy on CX, plus the benefit of being able to transit in HKG instead of SYD/MEL made it a no brainer for us.

Plus as an av geek, looking forward to hopping on my first A350 flights
