Sitting next to a paxing A220 captain on flight up to Sydney.

Loves to fly the bird, but a few idiosyncrasies.

It doesn’t like to slow down. Doesn’t lose much energy on descent . coughpit electronics and instrumentation a bit of a nightmare. Always having to reboot things.

Couple of other things, but he’s very proud of the aircraft ( not so much the rest of the fleet 😂)

X4E went in for an engine change, unreliable aircraft coupled with HR issues is not the recipe for success QF we’re hoping for.

Beats flying on a 20 year old 737 in desperate need of a refurbish.
Yes, but have you ever flown on one? I have, and IME even the 717 beats the xx_x out of it for comfort. The 737 is streets ahead.

The A220 is a nice aircraft, but not in the scrunched up cattle class layout that Qantas has opted for. Even J is quite poor. I'll fly VA Y in row 3 anyday over that carp.
