Last morning here at Sabi Sabi so on the way home soon.
This morning the main lion pride had a recent kill so most munching with gusto. If they had had their fill it was time for a nap.

I had snagged 4C and keen to try the A220 for the first time. However, I managed to get moved to an earlier flight so a Dash 8 out of CBR it was.

Just south of Piha is a more secluded beach.

It takes commitment to get there,

From the car park you follow a stream past the surf club which is built beneath a rocky outcrop.



Then continue along the stream to Karekare beach.

I was very tempted to stick to my original flight. However an hour less faffing about in the lounge and getting to MEL sooner was the overriding factor this time.
