Hotel Chains Ditching Mini Toiletries

I've never been able to find how to unscrew them - several have some sort of fancy hex screw thing that needs a special key.
Next time perhaps just take a few Allen keys with you...

Interesting. Next time could you please take a photo thanks
Here you go @Quickstatus - from last night’s stay at MGallery Warwick Farm

I managed by my now standard method of filling the drinking glass with soap at the sink and tipping it Into the bath so I can enjoy my pamper of chilled bubbles in a bubble bath - no photo for modesty reasons 🤭.

I just take a bar of soap from home on our travels now @Seat0B as this seems to be common occurrence with the dispenser halfway across the bathroom!

Nothing special there
It's just a generic Star Security Bit aka Torx security bit. The "security" just means the bit will need to have a hole to fit the middle pin.

Temu, Amazon or your local Bunnings will have them. 🤣

Very informative @Quickstatus - not sure it’s worth the trouble though with the “put the soap in the glass”™️ method, or even easier the “bring soap from home” method suggested by @Flyfrequently. A whole lot easier if I could just have a mini bottle of bath gel provided by the hotel, which is where this conversation started.

Ps, your knowledge of tools is impressive - are you in orthopaedics 😆
