TSA Precheck

For a number of trips we enjoyed TSA pre check on our boarding passes when in USA. I don’t recall applying for this status. Can anyone explain what is now required. The last trip nothing on our passes.TIA

Precheck can be given to people randomly on a per trip basis just as the SSSS extra screening can be given randomly to people in a Trusted Traveler Program.

There was a time - a while ago - that QF WP enjoyed TSA Pre-check but that was “enhanced”.

About 5yrs ago flying MIA to PTY on Copa with a UA A*G (from status match) produced a TSA Pre, but not seen since….
