Seats.aero vs Qantas website

I've been looking at some flights from Adelaide to UK and Qantas is showing availability from a number of cities but when I get to the booking stage I get the dreaded

Qantas website error #4002 [0]​

which AFF says

• What the Qantas website says: “An error has occurred in our central database. Please contact us for further information.”
• Why this error appears: This error message can appear after you’ve already selected all of your flights, but the website is unable to calculate the fare/taxes and crashes before quoting them. The itinerary is probably too complex.
• What to do: Change the itinerary and try again, or call Qantas to book.

It's a simple two flights in the Multi city booking tool so I don't think it can be that complicated.

If I look at seats.aero none of these flights seem to be available so do you think they are actual reward seats

I'm thinking their might be a problem with seats aero. In the last 24 hours a dramatic lessening in awards Australia to SIN or BKK. I can find several SQ flights during January on SQ and UA which normally show up on seatsaero either on aeroplan or UA but none are. I was seeing a bit of TR and now none suddenly.

It could be both then

I think I've tried about 20 combinations on Qantas and keep getting the same error

Are you trying to book PER-DXB-LHR using the QF website multicity tool? If so, it’s probably a married segments issue.

The through flights should appear if you just search for PER-LHR on the Qantas website. If they’re not coming up then there is probably no availability on these as married segments.

Have you tried using a different browser? I've sometimes been able to get past that error by switching to a different one.

Are you trying to book PER-DXB-LHR using the QF website multicity tool? If so, it’s probably a married segments issue.

The through flights should appear if you just search for PER-LHR on the Qantas website. If they’re not coming up then there is probably no availability on these as married segments.

My experience is that if seats.aero doesn't show it then it's Qantas phantom availability (which is quite common).

And, as an aside, whatever happened to the AFF spell checker? Was it too expensive?
