Perhaps I'm missing something, but this seems to be a good QFF credit card flying under the radar (I haven't seen it spoken about much...)? Wanted to see what others thought.

- 1.5ppd in the 1st yr, up to $120k spend (= 180,000 QFF points in the 1st yr)
- $0 card fee the first year
- No sign up bonus
- However, in comparison if you got the ANZ Black QFF: that gives 90k bonus points in the 1st yr, 1ppd, at a fee of $225 (1st yr), and their 1ppd is up to $90k spend in a 12mth period (so max points = 180,000)

I feel this HSBC card is a good one to hold for 12mths due to the 1.5ppd and no fee, allowing you to "waste time" while the 12-18mth "new customer" period clocks over for other cards etc.

Thoughts?

Get the HSBC Premier card instead. See this thread
I'll check it out thanks - however to me it doesn't seem like these 2 cards have any key earn rates differences for Qantas? Maybe the only difference is your card is $0 fee forever and my car is free in the 1st year only?

Sorry, yep it does earn QF. The only difference I can see in the comparison is your card is free for life. My card is free the 1st yr. Otherwise the earn rate is identical.
