I just gave the payslips with no explanation. My application said non-resident or international or something, O I'm pretty sure HSBC just gives credit cards to international applicants. Even had my AU address

Grrr - Amex won’t accept my HSBC statement because the statement period shows for less than 30 days - that’s because the first interim statement had my AU address. So the new statement with updated address only covers the period from when the old statement was done (31/8) to now and they are refusing to accept! So annoying
Been curious about my Credit Score, unable to talk to any rep from Credit Agency and could not access my Equifax and Amex plus Cap1 advised they could not process my Credit report. Took up the offer I got in the mail today and paid $1 for 1 month trial. I got this. FYI, In case you are in my shoe.
Yes you can. I know someone who got their Chase accounts recently reopened after closure in similar circumstances.
Seems like Chase are getting a bit more sensitive on the fraud/risk front. P2's latest Ink led to Internet banking being suspended because I got them to post the new card to Australia. Was unblocked after a call to the 'customer protection group'. Fairly straightforward, but first time that's happened.

You have to call and someone will manually review your file. Paying down balances can't hurt. And reopened account didn't require replacing any cards — they could continue to use the old ones.

I think I’m stuck in a circle of incompetence or poor process. When Amex call HSBC, HSBC won’t approve a 3 way call and wont speak to me with someone else on the line. When HSBC call Amex, they won’t do the verification because they haven’t initiated the call to HSBC!
I think I’m all out of options until HSBC actually produce my first full statement. Any idea when that would be? (I can’t request another interim statement as it will just have the date since the last one and Amex said it has to have 30+ days)

So, I figured out the mysterious "We cant identify you with TransUnion" issue. TransUnion somehow got my ITIN number wrong. Going thru dispute, managed to talk to actual person. Got advised I need to MAIL in my ITIN and proof of Address to correct it. No other way. Dead end until I can get to US land. Is there a solution for this when we need to mail something to US?
Yes - all 3 credit Bureau - not sure if link allowed here. Through this email, get Equifax Complete™ Premier for $1 for your first 30 days, then $19.95 per month thereafter. Cancel at any time, no partial month refunds.1
