Oh, I didn't read on on that visa page .  I just followed links on 'Visit Japan' for 'countries not needing visa' and I thought it would lead me to an e-registration (I misnamed it in my earlier post).  Must have gotten lost.

The "english" but not english words when pronounced in english might not actually get recognised sometimes.
