Instagram still showing US ads a month after return to Australia

I visited the US in early January for only six days and started to get local Instagram ads about US sports, politics, healthcare etc when I arrived (as expected) but it’s now been more than 4 weeks since I returned to Australia and pretty much of the ads I get on Instagram are still American ads…

Appreciate it if some could tell me how to get rid of all these American ads and restore the Australian ads on my feed (reporting them as “irrelevant” doesn’t work btw)

If you get an australian ad or two in the mix, open them and click through. Eventually the algorithm should change the feed although unlikely they all will go. Some will.hang around for forever in my experience. If you are active regularly on Insta the move will be quicker than if you are only on there occasionally.

Do you actually use or utilise the ads that appear on your Instagram thing? If it was me, I couldn’t care less what ads came from where showing what - they are all ignored, or blocked as best I can.

This seems to have done the trick. Thank you
