Strategy to obtain US Amex

Biz Plat has the best credits that reset every calendar year. But you can do it with other Amexes.

Australian Amex cards aren't churnable like US Amex cards are, so not worth it.

You can sign up for a new Biz Plat every 90 days. But always good to time the one you sign up for in the fourth quarter to make use of the triple dip.

So are the USA Amex Biz cards different from Amex personal cards in that you still get a sign up bonus every 90 days instead of the 7 years?

Yes. Amex frequently distributes application links for business cards (especially the Plat, Gold, BBP & BBC) that allow you to apply again and again and again and again, but you can't apply for the same card more than once every 90 days.

Great. What are the requirements to obtain a Amex Biz card? Would I be right in assuming you need a reasonable level fico score and either a SSN or Itin?

Anything else required aside from the obvious US bank account and phone number?

Perhaps you need to show business related spend or a higher level of spend to get bonus?

Cheers

Same as any non-GT Amex application, I believe. You might need an EIN if you don't have an SSN.

ITIN or SSN. Assuming you have recent credit history, they won't ask for proof of business related spend.

Edit: Levelnine mentioned EIN as well.

Thanks. When applying for non GT Amex cards do you need to use VPN's on the Amex site? I have the same question also for any of the other credit card applications like on chase website for example..

I never bother. I always get a fraud hold on Chase, but it has always been cleared quickly after calling to answer a few ID verification questions. Amex never provides an instant approval, but usually get the approval email 5-60 minutes later.

What do you buy with the dell credits? I tried to apply for the plat biz, but didn't put in other so they asked for financials.

Waiting 30 days until I can apply again

What do you mean when you say you didn't put in other?
When I applied for the card, for the industry I didn't put other. I think I did broking or something. For industry you need to write in other

For industry, I always put something reasonable. e.g. I'm reselling merch on eBay. That's a business. I'm driving uber. Also a business. etc etc.

DP for someone like me, looking to open checking account. I tried Captial1 with different Saving Account and Checking Account, it's a no go for online,

Ok, thanks, that's an important tip! Anything else I should know that would trip me up?

I don't think there are any DPs that you could apply for a C1 account without an ITIN?
