Welcome. It’s a long road but perseverance is all that’s required plus various tips from those on AFF.

I also welcome you @fraqtl - and there are a lot of hints on here bout how to earn more points via things like credit card sign ups. And, if using QF, then QF wines, QF hotels and Woolworths Every Day rewards, so do have a good browse around.

Which is your FF system that you do have points with?
QFF?
VFF?
Main point, er, thing to note, is that for both of these, they DO expire, so what ever you do, if you value the points you have, is to have movement of points, in or out.
If you don't have a credit card, and want to keep your QFF account alive, there is the QTMC, or Qantas Travel Money Card, you can tap with money transferred from your transaction account, 0.25 QFF points per $1 spent in Aust.
For VFF, buy something small several times a year, from the VFF store, and make sure you log in with your VFF #, this ensures your VFF account will have points activity.
Many members, or the public, are not aware that FF points do expire, if there is no activity in these accounts, for QFF its 18 months, or is it 24 months, one of them, either VFF or QFF has 24 months, the other 18.
QFF and VFF sometimes, too, do lock accounts for suspicious activity, what they deem anyway.
Don't fall for the QFF fake sms or emails, "gift vouchers", etc.
