Accor Plus Membership Discussion

No issue. Some friendly banter from the waiter too that we “only” had three cards to apply. Really good service from the restaurant.

Went for lunch today and no issues with Accor Plus discount also.

Club Morris sandwich was a little meh, will need to go back for dinner and try some other options.

I am very new to the whole Accor+, so still trying to digest it. But I’ve just signed up Accor+ via Indonesia to get the 2 night’s Stay Plus offers because HKG's accommodation is very expensive, and it worked out cheaper for me to sign up Accor+ and book two free nights at HKG. It would be great if you can help me on this:

1) Do I get a physical digital card in Australia if I signed up the Indonesia's version?
2) Is the digital Accor+ card the one in the Accor ALL app? Ie the same as the Accor ALL membership card in the ALL App (with the QR code)? So to claim dining discounts, all I have to do is to show my ALL Card on the App?
3) Does the Indonesian Accor+ complimentary vouchers only applies to Indonesia's ones? Or that would work across APAC?
4) For my two free Stay Plus nights, is it counted towards the status nights for qualification of ALL Elite membership?

Yes

4) For my two free Stay Plus nights, is it counted towards the status nights for qualification of ALL Elite membership?

Yes if you combine them with some paid nights or charge something to the room - dinner, drinks, minibar, etc. Essentially anything that will generate a folio at check out.

Can't answer the other questions - sorry.

To a couple of points. Yes the card on the app is the same as the physical one and you use that to claim dining discounts (I would t even know where my physical card is these days)
Stay plus nights count towards status if you spend something whilst at the hotel like a meal or drinks at the bar

Just on the card; when I spoke with Accor+ (Australia) on signing up, a couple of months ago, they indicated there are no physical cards anymore. Maybe that's just Australia, or maybe it's all markets, but certainly I think you'll be fine with digital only, if that's where we're all heading.

Cheers,
Matt.

I’ve got the Indonesian Version.
They were still sending out physical cards last
time around to my Sister In Law’scAddress.

All the breakfast vouchers etc they send out were only for use in Indonesia.

Renewed a few weeks back. I have only used the digital version for the past few years.

I am in my first year of membership, expiring Jan 31. When will I be able to renew? I am thinking about when I can get the 20 bonus nights.

I don't know but my renewal did boost my membership to GOLD status

We stayed at Peppers Silo Launceston but don't think I got anything in addition to what I would of with Silver (friends also had accor plus silver and we all got the same rooms - no upgrade or added perks)

Maybe other brands and hotels view status as more important?

From experience I’ve found that Peppers Silo Launceston has very good status recognition and has looked after us amazingly well during previous stays.

Agree unlike most Peppers, as a Gold+ Silos gave me room upgrade + 2 * drink vouchers + bottle of sparkling wine + Bottled Water + hand made truffles.

Yep, must be a Tassie thing because Peppers Cradle Mountain treats us very well too but in general I find Peppers treat status customers pretty average in other places

Accor is a funny old program with so many premium priced properties having coughpy earn rates.

Peppers Silo is a nice hotel and should earn as one, Canberra not nearly as nice and some of the other Peppers like Kingscliff are just basic apartment hotels and really ought to be rebranded matra as don't even have restaurant that opens nightly.

But points earn rate should be based on $ spend consistently across all brands for properties at same star rating level not be lower for some because they used to be owned by someone else.

Interesting. I wonder if that would make it easier to sign up to Accor+ in other countries with better priced memberships. Like the 2 free nights options in Indonesia, Malaysia etc.
