Prior to leaving Australia Amaysim advised that they do not offer any service in Morocco. The GiffGafff sim I discuss Recent UK then EU Roaming experience with GiffGaff. also was not going to have any service in Morocco.

The Amaysim did work in Morocco albeit for incoming txt only.

Wondering through the Marrakech markets I asked one of the phone vendors for a data sim. Probably paid too much but for the equivalent of AUD30 he configured 2Gb with MorocTelecom for 30 days which was about 4 times longer than I needed. All of the phone help was in French so I was a little stuck.

Also in Morocco the two trains we travelled on advertised wifi in First class, neither of those networks were actually available. Nobody knew the status.

Thanks for posting this. I'll be in Morocco for two weeks in December and was wondering about the best way to get SMS and voice calls from my AUS number. I can probably live without the voice but may need to be able to receive SMS for OTPs and the like.
