Is Priority Boarding Needed in Australia?

Trains too.
OMFG ... where's the Cheese thread?
I caught the tram in Sydney a few weeks ago, it wasn't THAT busy but this clump of 5 post-millennials insisted on standing right in front of the door.
Every time the tram stopped they had to shuffle around a bit to let people past them, getting on AND getting off.
There was plenty of room 2m in one direction or 2m in the other, but they had to stand right there.

I don't think Japanese typically travel with oversized & overweight cabin bags like we see in the West.

I’m happy to do away with PB if carry on luggage is strictly enforced and J passengers have dedicated overhead bins that is strictly enforced.
Only recently on a QF flight I had a Y pax put their luggage above my seat and on getting to me seat there was no room so I removed their bag on handed it to the staff to place it elsewhere.
Good on you @jase05 , I'm never game enough to do that re cabin bags!
On my last 2 flights Mel-Bris pax using front cabin to put bags.
The one that really got me was the
Y woman who told her teenager to "just put it there, they won't know & they don't get on till last anyway "
So wanted to... !!

**Edit, I was referring to other pax utilising forward space, I would never consider doing that.
I do not feel comfortable asking cabin crew to deal with it in case they thought I was precious.

Removed and checked in... try removed and bad not going anywhere. That's a security risk if there is a bag onboard with no owner.
If the bins have been empty before boarding and no-one has exited the plane during the boarding, the person who carried it in would be in the cabin. Though, if one exits for whatever reason, that might be a nightmare to sort out reliably from the baggage security viewpoint.
