Trying to organise transport for 17 people from Brisbane Domestic to Gold Coast on Thursday 10th September and from Gold Coast to Brisbane Domestic on Tuesday 15th September.

Any ideas on what the most effective and efficient mode of transport would be?

Ring a taxi company and see aabout booking a mini bus - Yellow Cabs or Black and White. Or maybe even Gold Coast Taxis they might have mini bus services. 2 maxi taxis might cost $320 or more.

Otherwise google shows me:

Brisbane Mini Bus Charter

Coachtrans could be the way to go but consider that it would cost ~$40 per person one way and you would more than likely need to hire out the entire bus for that departure timeslot.

You could all get the train? I don't know what the cost is, but they flaunt that it goes from BNE to the Gold Coast

train is the most easiest way i find... its 40 something dollars return and quite quick! although most of the train stations on the goldcoast are out in the burbs rather than on the coast itself... coomera/helensvale/robina... how youd get from there to where you going might be difficult... prob worth payin extra to get a bus service thats door to door

That's what I am thinking.

If both the train and coachtrans are $40 that's $720 total. A maxi taxi is going to cost about $200 you'd need 2 of them so about $400. They carry 10 people each. Provided you can get in luggage as well, that would be my recommendation.

A group of us head up to Indy each year (or what used to be Indy!) and fly from Sydney into Brisbane as it is usually cheaper. We then hire a Toyota Tarago or similar for around $100 each way and they seat 8. You can drop it off at Hertz in the centre off Surfers and hire another for the return trip.

Not a bad trip, great freeway connecting Surfers with Brisbane and it takes a little over an hour. Quicker than a bus, cheaper more convenient than a train.

That sounds alright, i'll have to check that out.

I got this price off Brisbane Mini Bus Charters:

Thank you for your interest in our Fleet

A 21 seater from Brisbane Airport to Surfers Paradise would be $395
