Hi All,

Looking for some advice am a Virgin Australia platinum member. Looking to do a holiday to Sri Lanka from Melbourne for a family of 3 have around 500k velocity points preferrably with Singapore Airlines as seems smarter than Qatar And Etihad but open to options. Any ideas on the best way to go about this in terms of value and hints on how to book best to book online or call velocity etc. Thank you if you read this far any suggestions appreciated.

I've booked Colombo for July this year on SQ via Singapore.

I think that is your best bet. Just search the velocity site for availability

When I select Melbourne Colombo the only option is Qatar and takes 24 hours to get there

try other dates, SQ might not have availability.

see below for my search.
I'm getting some SYD-MEL-SIN-CMB results too on SQ and some days its Qatar & some Etihad.

Have you searched using Brisbane. We will be using Brisbane to get to Sri Lanka in July
