Qantas J availability to the USA

Qantas has just released a bunch of new PE and J award availability on routes to/from the United States, for travel over the coming months. I even spotted a few seats in the week before Christmas. Get in quick!

Hmm.. not sure. I just had a look and the J award flights for SYD-LAX in late December comprise a 737 up to BNE and then an A330 across to LAX

How does an A330 make it back from LAX without a tech stop ? Seems payload would be limited to about zero ...
