I have some bookings im about to trash, does anyone know if I take a flight credit, will that carry the double status credits on the next booking? or should I let it go back to my CC?

it should. Usually flight credits (as opposed to travel passes) carry the original PNR (booking reference) and they should retain the DSC for use - as long as new booking is within the booking window of the DSC promotion period of curse.

do note though that T&C of flight credits may force (most likely) a higher fare class of boking when used.
