I agree with you as well as the need to move on.The question is why? If I understand correctly just about all the major US carriers have permanently dropped change fees?
Why the need for aussie airlines to revert?
‘that’s the way it’s always been’ isn’t really a good reason.
Clearly the US airlines are finding a way to make this work, wonder if it is that Qantas can't or just doesn't want to try.
I said in another thread a while back, if Flex fares are priced at a reasonable premium to saver/red E deal (i.e. not 3x) then this would be more palatable.
