Stay NSW Voucher - using online?

I can't see another thread but we have 2x $50 Stay NSW vouchers that expire on 09 Oct (along with anyone else's unused vouchers). I know they can be redeemed on site at check-in/out and can actually be used for stays post 09 Oct - so long as the voucher is redeemed as part of the prepayment prior to the 9th but has anyone had success using these online? Or do you need to call a property?

I know IHG launched a promo earlier in the year - but basically you needed to booked a Best Flex rate and then pay at the hotel.

Any experiences booking online for an advance purchase rate and getting the voucher redeemed at the hotel? I understand that there *supposed* to be for accommodation and wouldn't cover F&B - so probably shouldn't be used to settle additional charges during a stay.

Any tips, tricks or traps to be aware of?

redeemed for cash, gift voucher or credit note
used for:
Airbnb, online accommodation booking platforms and travel agents.
food or drinks

I just amended my post as you were posting.
I have a stay this week, paid by Amex travel voucher. I will see if the Stay Voucher can be used to pre-pay a meal and report back. It may get lost in the within the booking, it may not.

I managed to use two for one upcoming stay down the south coast. If you have something in mind, contact the hotel directly.
