What cheeses me off

What cheeses me off is the concept of cashiers from express line in supermarkets abandoning their stations regardless of how long the express line is to immediately shoot off to serve any person who fronts the counter out front to buy gaspers - I have nothing against those who choose to participate in cigs but why are they more important?
The same entitlement and lack of consideration that they use to smoke directly in front of "No smoking signs", or to drop their butts, just a metre away from the nearest bin.

What cheeses me off?

When you call a large organisation and they ask you to key into the phone your customer ID, your DOB, your FF number, CC number etc etc and then you get put into a queue. Finally a human speaks to you about your call and then has to ID you by asking you all the details that you spent minutes keying into the telephone.

Either pass the details to the operators or don't ask for it until we speak to someone.

And time for my medication once again :)

What Cheeses Me Off - when someone calls me and instead of introducing themselves first, they go, "Am I speaking with Mr.xx_x". You called me, so I'd assume it is common courtesy to introduce themselves first before asking who I was.

Oh, sorry I'm guilty of this when I call our clients etc.

People kinda have to do that when calling me these days ... I don't say anything, when answering a call from an unknown number, so they have to talk first (it seems to defeat about 95% of auto-dialler calls).

What cheeses me off are golf buggies in Thailand without the front windscreen.

I know it gets hot in Thailand but it can also rain and you end up getting very wet. Also no.protection against stray golf balls.

I usually answer that with one of these
Who are you?
Depends on who is calling?
Who do you think is going to answer my phone ? (If i know who they are, but not recommended if it might be Harry the cough looking for ya)

I do make it a point of saying my own name first if I am calling.

Worse, when a company rep cold calls you (say a bank or insurer etc) and asks you to identify yourself and give them your DoB, account # etc etc. Yeah - ya reckon?

And worse, when I say "I don't give that info to old callers - please identify yourself" they either a) decline or b) acknowledge that its bad practice to ask (encourage) people to give cold calls their personal info - but (the company) does it anyway!

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

What Cheeses me off - when I call into a company/retail hotline etc and the person answers with an intro including "who am I speaking to?". Usually it's not a bank or somewhere I need to personally identify myself and I get they are doing it as part of a script to repeat the customers name and be welcoming blah blah but when you have an uncommon name you can't be bothered spelling or repeating it just to get my query answered.

What Cheeses Me Off
"Oh will xx_x happen ?"
read the flipping thread "
"Will I get xx_x"
read the flipping thread
"You are wrong "
nope read the link to the actual legislation
" How much is xx_X"
read the flipping thread

Ok kinda feel better I have vented on a totally different board about stupid questions
Having said that I remember my training
"Explain to your staff in a appropriate tone"
Some people have many issues in literacy and comprehension. Others are just plain old lazy
Sadly calling them stupid was never appropriate
