I have never used Zip. I got this email, is it worth it for the 3000 QF points? I can't figure out if you have to use the Zip to pay for a flight or just pay for anything.

EMAIL
Now you can fly now, pay later and earn Qantas Points when you book your next flight on qantas.com with Zip.

Earn 1 Qantas Point for every $3 spent on eligible flight bookings on qantas.com using your Zip account.±Just make sure you link your Qantas Frequent Flyer number in the Zip app before you book.

To celebrate, new Zip customers can earn 3,000 bonus Qantas Points* when they sign up to Zip, link their Qantas Frequent Flyer number in the Zip app and complete their first purchase with their Zip account within 90 days of activation.*

Plus, you can also choose to earn and transfer Zip Rewards to Qantas Points when you link your Qantas Frequent Flyer number and select Qantas Points as your redemption option in the Zip app.^

Dot point 4 of the terms and conditions says make a purchase 'anywhere'. I'm going to give it a go as that looks like easy points if you are a new customer. Thank you.
