Sydney to Doha (via Melbourne)

Hi there
This is a flight with Qatar coming up in a couple of months.
The first leg is Sydney to Melbourne with Qantas then Melbourne to Doha with Qatar.
This is the first time I’ve done this flight and was wondering are your bags checked in at Qantas domestic in Sydney all the way through to Doha or do I have to collect in Melbourne domestic then race over to Melbourne International?
Does Qantas domestic checkin at Sydney process all the paper work for an international flight ?
Apologies for all these questions. Just want to make sure I have everything in place for a trouble free flight….or am I being naive

If the flights are all booked on the one ticket / same booking reference number then your bags will be checked through to Doha at Sydney domestic.
There is a separate service desk to the Right side of the check in area for pax with international connections.

Re "then race over to Melbourne International". T1 (QF Dom) and T2 (Intl) are joined at the hip. You won't need to race.

MEL T1 to T2:- 4 minutes if you are a slow walker.
