Fun rainstorm coming through tonight.

Most airlines waited it out, with curfew at 11pm tonight.

Two flights seemed not to take the risk. And not just fly to NTL, but go further north?

Know it depends whose on your plane (literally, a check they make when they ask)...

More fun to look at this than do work tonight!

QF495 took an interesting departure routing…..

Compare to QF487 which appeared to go further east than a usual easterly departure.

Appears both climbing to avoid the weather.

Appears almost all that didn’t divert are down before 2300 excluding freight - except JQ769.

Given the wave of arrivals some pax will be waiting considerable time for their bags.

NTL has a curfew too. Easier to get waivers, but it still exists.

They can ask for a dispensation for weather if they can argue the conditions were not expected prior to departure.

Noticed a few delayed departures tonight almost missing the curfew - QF499, AirAsiaX and finally Emirates. Wonder if it was a flow on effect of the earlier emergency exercise drill?
