New Amex statement credits

Has anyone noticed issues with replacement cards and credits posting?

I replaced my card a couple of weeks back as the numbers were fading (particularly the 3 digit code on the reverse that is sometimes required) so I asked for a new card. Same card number, new expiry/CCV....

I since used menulog, Gazman and Dominos offers since then and none of the credits have appeared more than a week after posting to the account - which is within limits but very unusual from previous experience.

Yes, and the codes on the front/back.

I've taken screen shots of the offers and transactions, will hold on for 90 days and follow up I guess, unless we know it will need intervention?

Then any direct debits etc will need to be updated by you (different date even if same cc number will fail the transactions), and may well be worth calling Amex now to point out the offers you'd previously activated. One call now to save many later?

I received these on Accelerator but no personal cards. Note the Opal is for online or taps not at retailers

I only got these on my Small Biz CC. Not my personal card. The email I received alerting me was “business“ oriented.

Just changed my Opal top up card to AMEX and the $1 verification charge immediately triggered the offer. Received an alert and email:

You just used your Bonus Points with transport providers Amex Offer

I also realised that the offer expires on 5 May (the day I get home from the UK!). But I guess $100 top up to Opal is an easy 5100 QFF pts towards retaining my QF PC.

I just went to topup my opal card they don't take amex. don't know where u got yours to topup

On the Opal website or app. Your Opal needs to be registered to use these iirc.

Top up Opal with AMEX and JCB

Now you can top up online and in the Opal Travel app with American Express and JCB Cards.

Damn. The website just showed “Pending” - which I thought was a processing thing but the Opal app is showing “Pending tap-on”!

I get back the day the promo ends - I wasn’t planning to bus/train it home but maybe will… I’ll probably forget after 22+ hrs SQ J flying….

Edit: actually, AMEX should only care that I’ve spent the money. As soon as the two payments clear, I should be fine. I’ll report back!

Question about the 20% off Virgin Australia flights until 30 June 2022.
It is a booking through Amex Travel. Is the price shown already including the 20% or will Amex Plat credit back 20% once I book the flight?
