I booked a First Award from Singapore last night (Emirates operated but marketed through Qantas) and paid the taxes and fees and it took the points from my account. I could see it in my bookings page last night.

Today it's disappeared but the funds are still sitting as "authorisation only" in my CC.

Before I call Qantas and sit on hold for an hour - any idea if this is normal ? Been a while since ive booked a reward ticket due to covid.

TIA

Have you tried to access the booking directly through Manage my Booking uing the PNR?

I’d call and make sure it’s been ticketed.

Go into your booking with the booking reference and then add your frequent flyer number.

Update: Saw that a flight was available on another day, so booked it and paid for it. It showed in my bookings for a few hours (was never ticketed) and then mysteriously disappeared.

Like most on here, I am struggling to get through to QFF on the phone.

Try this? 1300 025 396

Thanks Pushka. I used 1300 659 116 and was able to speak with a SA agent with very little hold time.

They weren't sure what had happened with my previous bookings, but they proceeded to book my requested award redemption and it all worked out fine. Now it's ticketed and I am very happy to have a first holiday in a long time.

Thanks all for your help, and remember, even if you are lowly status (I am silver - soft landing), you can get F redemptions on Emirates at short notice :) (just be prepared to be flexible on your departure port).
