I keep on receiving this offer from QF and when trying to book (hopefully according to promotion rules), I get ZERO% discount.

Here are some shots of the promotion rules and the last screen shot showing full 16000 points fare CBR-SYD (no discounts).

Did you read the terms?

It says not available for classic rewards ... it’s for points plus pay.

What is the difference between Classic Rewards and Points Plus Pay? For Classic Reward you can pay with Points Plus Pay or just Points, isn't it?

I booked flights using Points Plus Pay option and paying with Points only (this is the other condition - just Points).

I think I understand now. I must select a $ based fare and pay with Points.

Unfortunately I tried selecting the $ fare option and paying with points, still get ZERO% discount (and lot more points needed for this promotion).

You got a 3000 point or 10% discount for points + pay on this flight. The p+p price without the promo discount applied is 29300.
