Advice on champagne

I haven't seen much for Krug lately, problem is first choice or liquorland don't stock it so closes the door on deals from there, unless you'd settle for Dom. If anything Krug is going up, vintage cellers have shot the price of vintage up to $600, though with 15% off today via Cashback you could get it for $302.28.

Other options are vivino:

ttps://www.vivino.com/AU/en/krug-grande-cuvee-brut-champagne/w/7122486?year=n.v.&price_id=21893831&bottle_count=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_campaign=PM_02_322&utm_content=AU

10% off with welcomeau10 and another 5.6% via Cashback should get you around $275 (can't remember exactly how they calculate their cashback). Includes delivery.

At this point someone like qaz might jump in with a better vivino code or alternative deal :p

$282.65 (for NV) if you picked up 5 other wines too. Also with VC you do get 5% back in cellar shares as well

Thanks Tommo, that Vivino deal's not half bad!

For those feeling generous and looking to stock up on Christmas bubbles Mumm NV is on the list of 3000 flybuys points bottles along with 25% shopback, should get you a bottle for $27.50.

Great deal on Canard Duchene NV today at First Choice, I'm quite a fan, I find it to be great value for money. Half bottles are $120 for 6, 1000 flybuys and 22% cashback via Shopback brings the per bottle price down to $15.16. Best I've seen full bottles before flybuys/cashback is $45. Strangely the half bottles are frequently cheaper per ml than full bottles, excellent if you feel like a little champers but don't want to waste a full bottle.

Thanks mate, you've sold me - haven't tried these, but happy to take a punt.

Half bottles are preferable actually and good price point. Been stocking up fizz for the festive season.

Likewise, better to have too much rather than too little stock! Half bottles are always a mystery, usually they're so close in price to a full bottle it isn't even worth considering the half bottle, but in this odd case it's cheaper for the half bottle, as I usually find to be the case with Canard Duchene.

I'd much prefer to buy two half bottles over a full bottle and be able to open a new bottle on two occasions rather that use a fizz saver. No reason that can't be on the same day either :p

I've also found the rosé to be a good drop, for reference my taste preference is on the Veuve/Louis Roederer side of the fence rather than Pol Roger/Bollinger.

Edit - my mistake, the flybuys offer is on selected products which doesn't include Canard Duchene so that adds $5 to the price.

I agree, if half bottles were the same price I'd mainly be buying half bottles for wines I want to drink myself.

I guess it's more waste, but it's definitely more appealing to me.

Agree - it's actually quite nice! Came across the half bottles of rose for $30 and regular for $25 at my local bottle shop on the weekend. Certainly a good buy, I think.

Is that a good sub or a bad one. Don't know the Henri.
It seems a good sub from a volume point of view... can't believe they are offering 700ml replacement, unless they are doing a two 375ml for one 700ml...

I had a First Choice order confirmed on some champagne they were discontinuing. Had the order accepted and then withdrawn. (No doubt the Staff nabbed the bottles before there was any chance of getting my grubby hand on them,..) Should have tried for a replacement.

Haven’t been around! To be honest my phone wasn’t amazing and the loss of the app functionality really made it hard. I got a new phone but by then had moved on to various FB groups!
I’m back when I get time, now, esp in the deal threads :)

NFI - I only bought the original 3 packs to gift to neices and neps for them to have a drinkie over XMAS - I have accepted the substitute offer so they will now get 750ml botts instead of 375ml botts - I have absolutely no clue as to whether or not either drop is drinkable but such is life.

$302.28?

20% ShopBack @ Laithwaites makes 2006 Krug $360 delivered - ends AEDT today (else 18% Cashrewards, free delivery with FREESHIP)

also 2008 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame $240 delivered after 20% ShopBack

My rough sense would be about $280 and below for NV
watch/check BoozeBud, Vivino, BWS

Woops, not the best wording, should say that was for Krug NV.

Not bad on the Veuve by my calcs $245.46 delivered. Has anyone tried using Shopback with the 10% sign up discount from Laithwaites? Guessing it'd invalidate the 20% cashback.

Good price on Krug vintage as well, though I should also be lowering my expenditure after my newly installed deck 😉

Ah never mind answered enough of my question already, "10% off voucher is valid with orders of 12 bottles or more". I wasn't planning on ordering more than the one bottle.
