I love the suggestion that VH-OQA could end up parked up at HARS or QFOM, but I wouldn't imagine either facility would have the space for such a plane. The reason QFOM turned down the 747 that ended up going to HARS was because they had no where to store it ;)

Fuel order is 250 tonnes, which is full tanks. I don't think I got within 20-30 tonnes of that.
 
Would also expect the first two planes retired will be scavenged for spare parts to support the remainder.

You send the last frame retired to a museum, not the first.

So just for interest, do you reckon she would be empty, or would QF try to get some freight on board?

I would be prepared to bet that they literally wipe history of any memory of the 380 after they're retired.

I just watched the take-off streamed on YouTube

I do have some inside info on the long-term plans for OQA. Let's just say, outback Queensland should be able to accommodate it. ;)

JB - looking at the mass of text above, I can't see the number 250 anywhere, or is the fuel ordered seperately? The rest I'm afraid is indecipherable to me, but obviously those who need to know can decode it all...
 
The plan shows waypoints of the flight's route, each one has unique alpha codes.. that's why it probably does not make a lot of sense, but av geeks would know. eg: MOLLY is located in the Philippines. while TARAL is at Greenwich Park, on the North Shore of Sydney.

There's other data such as planned flight levels and so on, but hopefully that explains it in very much layman's terms (stop laughing, jb! :D )
