Spent a couple of weeks in Tuscany - best hot chocolate I have ever had in Volterra. Most expensive hot chocolate I've ever had in the square in Siena but it was worth it. Sadly I missed the power plant. Mind you driving down from Livorno I couldn't believe how many women were selling themselves on the side of road.
I don't think you missed anything by not seeing the geothermal power station. The back roads and truck routes in that area and down to FCO are very active with north african "ladies".

Now you’ve got me. Had memorable dinners overlooking the glorious countryside a few times. The town is magical in the evenings when the hordes have left. Stayed in an Airbnb very close to the town square in September 2019
Hotel La Cisterna. Great restaurant as well as views.

Geothermal power plant in central Tuscany at Lardelello south of Volterra to left of Siena.

Correct. Took you long enough!

I don't think you missed anything by not seeing the geothermal power station.

There are about a dozen or more power stations dotted around the place. The cooling towers in the pic above are 'heritage listed' 🤣 - Enel, the power company, wanted to demolish them, as they are no longer needed, but weren't allowed to, as they exemplified the old technology.

Our Enel host proudly showed us this power station "architecturally designed, in Tuscan colours" 🤣 🤣

The power station with modern cooling system next to it. Just phoar!

While driving from a snow storm in Bavaria into better weather into sunshine in Baden-Wurttemberg, we saw this? I thought it was a Schloss, but note lots of vines around it. If anyone knows the details of the place/location I would appreciate hearing about it!

That is my way of saying even I don't know where the photo was taken (well apart from out of a car window). It probably has a view towards Konstanz and the lake.
