Advice on champagne

There's an extra $10 bonus from CR, and I forgot to add in bonus Flybuys points if that helps!

$53 - 20% and bonus $10 is $32 for 1 bottle.
Is that discount unique to your account? I only see 20% CB and $10 off for $100 spend with TENOFF so $76.73 (or $38.36/bottle) without myColes and no flybuys bonus?

I think you'll find the $10 reference for Cash Rewards is to this:

Oh nice! Completely missed this one, the intricate network of discount sites. A discount site, for a discount to a discount service, for a discount to a store with a running discount for purchasing a bottle on discount...

What is the 1000 flybuys one?

I don't have a link, multiple people mentioned even tho they didn't have the offer it gave them 1,000 pts. I believe it ended on the 2nd, but it says or until stocks last.

Found some of the flybuys mentions, placed an order so crossing my fingers for the points! Great deal on Mumm with the $10 cashback bonus and hopefully 1000 flybuys.

Yeah still an ok price but depends on how hard you want to push your deals :p
Well if you had the Brands You Love offer on your Amex you could have got at $49.95 less 15% plus ShopBack/Cashrewards have offered another 30% off in recent days (ShopBack until 6pm today), that’s under $30 by my reckoning

Waiting for my 18 months to click over with Amex, but this deal is $28.21/bottle which is excellent in my books.

I found this really interesting, they're reviewing french champagne, entry level.
Very informative, I could never provide that much feedback on any drink! I'd probably be limited to "that one was good, but I think that other one might've been better, or maybe it wasn't". Makes me want to try the Andre Clouet now.

For something a bit alternative (very alternative?) I watched through a series a while ago called 2 Guys 2 Flutes, brace yourself but they do some comparisons you just don't see around YouTube. Amateurs but as the series progresses they learn a little and can at least make some comparisons against other high priced bottles:

Winestar is probably the cheapest for a single bottle, mainly boutique smaller stores sell it

These blokes are funny 😂

Did anyone who purchased 2007 Comtes de champagne taittinge through Qantas open it? I've got the option to buy a bottle for $140(Single bottle)

Buy it. I had some at a restaurant in Perth a few weeks ago. It was by the glass and noticed the bottle had the Qantas logo on the back. It's still way too young but a bargain at $140.

I was going to post here about a nice deal on Dom Perignon at First Choice, I run a spreadsheet with champagne bottle pricing to keep track of final price after various discounts.

Dom was on catalogue for $250, today it's $20 off for a $200 spend along with 20% Shopback up to $20, then myColes takes the price to $197.50. Took a look on their site now Dom is up to the regular $300 price but still listed as a catalogue special... seems this catalogue special ended early, everything else is still the same price. Nothing like advertising something on special for the regular price is there?

I noticed that.

Veuve vintage could be OK, it's on sale. It'd be around $80 a bottle if you buy 2.

Thanks for posting this one Tommo, was able to pick up a few bottles at what I felt were very good prices.

Louis Roederer NV at $54 and Bollinger at $58 with the discounts. Unfortunately Veuve Clicquot Vintage wasn't available in my area

@qaz Yeah I saw that one today, have been tempted to get some but also realise my champagne stock levels are quite high. I'm yet to try the Marc Chauvet.
