We have just stayed at the Hotel Verge for 2 nights before mrsdrron flew back to BNE.
A very nice room though the bathroom a bit too dark for mrsdrron.Nice view across City Park.
Breakfast was included and quite nice. They have also just introduced drinks with a bar menu at night. This was excellent.
Service all round excellent.

Booked through Qantas hotels wit 6x points and paid with Amex.Hotel itself doesn't accept Amex.

Bringing up an old thread
We are booked for Launceston in late august for a couple nights. I’m weighing up between peppers silo and hotel verge, which one do you recommend @drron, having stayed at both.

It would probably be the one closest to the scallop pies.

I shuttle in and out of Tassie a lot.

Have you had a look at Stillwater 7 or the Florance?

Couple of other nice options.

Silo but we always have a car.
Verge for convenience to CBD. Especially on a Friday night as the Harvest market is next door on Saturday.

Ok, we have gone peppers silo. We will make sure we get a car for the 3 days we are there.
Thank you!
Any tips on must go to restaurants are appreciated!

Make sure you book whatever you do!

- Velo (about a 20 min drive out of Lonny - their dinner degustation is amazing and great value)
- Stillwater
- Kosaten (very cool, you'll be taking photos of your 'waiter' ;) )

We like Kosaten.
Geronimo
Grain at the Silo hotel is fine.
Used to like Stillwater but it changed a lot some time ago to cater to the Chinese market with lots more spice so mrsdrron had limited choice.
