Excellent thread.

Looks like we are going to have a “Garden Off” to accompany the Holiday Photos thread! Meant to post some gardens today but got sidetracked by the cricket and scanning old photos. Soon... Be afraid! :D :p

Nymans is one of our favourites as is Sheffield Park, Sissinghurst, Kew, Gravetye manor, Great Dixter (last two started by same gardener - created by visionary gardener William Robinson in 1885 ), Inverewe at Poolewe, Buschart Gardens Vancouver island, National Rose garden and Japanese garden in Portland, and many more... (And “ours” ! ;) )

I've got Inverewe, Butchart, Kew, Great Dixter to come - not sure if my Sissinghurst ones are still to be scanned. Lots more that I can't even remember now but looking forward to seeing other gardens

Very different from many of the formal gardens but lovely and the buildings were beautiful

I've been trying to post something nice every day for a week to counteract all the negativity and sniping in the Covid threads and I've achieved my aim. I'll pull out my photos later

Thanks for everyone who is contributing to this floral feast. Such beauty certainly brings joy to my heart. A reminder of why a garden tour to the UK is on the list.
