Hello all,

I am super new to QF and still in research/learning mode, thinking about transferring from BAEC Gold to QF Plat. and eventually LTG is the long-term goal. I am based in Taiwan. I am still learning all the rule sets etc. I recently noticed the QF website short counted the SC earned.

For example, I was searching CGK-SYD-PER and was expected to earn 120+80 SC one way, but the website shows 140...Am I missing anything? If this is normal, would it be normal to book through OTA during the double status credit next year?

Thank you so much!

and hi all! :-)

As usual QF IT is subpar. Typically you'll see the correct SC earn once you've selected flights and proceeded to the next step.

Gotcha, thank you so much!!! QF is tricky but more achievable vs. BA with their BA/IB flight req. being based in SE Asia

Welcome to AFF - hellava time to join. :)

We have a running joke here that Qantas IT is done by work experience kids. Its pretty bad.

Here is QFF points calculator - Qantas Points Calculators | Frequent Flyer

Would you believe that it used to be much better, would take many sectors at once, etc etc, but the IT kids 'enhanced' it (ie stuffed it up)

:p Haha. For sure. A good time to sink in on what status works for you in long run...

So far the point calculator is probably the first thing on my home page now...but jeez some routes devalued a lot vs. BAEC, tho some are pretty amazing, and not to mention the double status thing. I’m sure lots of plats/golds out there huh!

also I another newbie question - what are SC and WP stand for? I figure that’s something along the time of gold and plat

SG: Scum Gold
WP: Wanker Platinum
