Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

To be fair I think they have bigger issues at the moment than worrying about PB
Feel a bit harsh saying this, but I reckon management knowing which teams and staff do their jobs and comply with company policy well, and those who don't, would be particularly important in the current or near-future environment.

and she went to say something and then said ahh platinum and I was checked in

Similar experience in HKG or SIN, can't remember - boarding QF flights into Australia, travelling Y and queued in the priority boarding lane. It was quite funny actually :)

I was third in the queue and for some reason, the person & his girlfriend before me turned & said something that went "this is for biz class & FF passengers mate". I smiled and still stood behind the couple. I can hear the person whispering to his girlfriend about people like me using biz/first class queue blah blah ...

5 mins later, a FA walks down the queue, checking BP's and ensuring the right people are in the right queue. Took a glance (just a glance, not a look) at my Y boarding pass - signals me down to the Y queue. I later point out the OW-E status printed and says, "sorry, all good" and moves on

Boarding begins ... scan BP, beep. beep. Now we all know what that could be :)

Enter the flight, I turn left and the person & his GF turn right :)

c'est la vie :)

I would love to hear that sound on my many international flights but alas not to be as yet.

Four flights today. Didn't work at MEL and DRW (even after they diligently put out the signs), worked in ADL and BNE. Feedback on the way.

Thats an awesome sound but never on QF sadly. Often on EK and QR which is such a nice surprise

Priority boarding out of SIN has to be the worst... any other bad experiences?

Well yesterday I took my first Qantas domestic flight (ex SYD) since the priority boarding changes were implemented.

There was no attempt whatsoever to even try to implement priority boarding. Not even a token announcement. Zip, zilch, nada.

Maybe because you were the only passenger? ;)

Wow......

I still think they are human and when humans are under stress they do tend to forget things.I know I do.Though fortunately my work does tend to make you concentrate.

That's understandable. However, this should be a massive concern then for the airline. While forgetting about priority is at most an inconvenience, what happens when safety is impacted because someone forget something because they are under stress?
