Qatar flight change on Qantas classic reward booking.

Enter your PNR into CheckMyTrip to ensure it has been ticketed.
Agree... having been involved in reticketing in the past, incorrect class on award bkgs can cause issues also with QR. Normally what we had to do was hold that class to ensure a business seat held then contact other airline to convert to correct class which sometimes took a while. Good thing is you have a seat held!

It says Confirmed on Checkmyticket and confirmed on Qatar website/app. Qantas has sent me a new E-Ticket Itinerary & Receipt with the new flights.

Looking at Qantas' website it states booking class I is Business Saver. I would be surprised and delighted if they gave me status and points for this flight. I still don't understand how this rep was able to easily move me yet everyone else said bad luck.

Anyway, I'm super happy now and look forward to Qsuite and 2hrs in the lounge instead of 9.


Edit: I mispoke, now i'm not sure if i'm in the clear. Qatar, Checkmyticket and the Qantas website have me as on QR942 (and confirmed), the flight I want. However, the E-Ticket Itinerary & Receipt which Qantas emailed me is still showing QR946.

If you click through on the flight itself does it show a ticket number? in any case, if you've received an e-ticket from Qantas then you should be good. and if you are indeed booked in I, you will most likely receive SC and points. Another AFF member mentioned this happening to them with a QR award change last year.
 
I had the same thing when I had a change of QR flights. The Qantas website & the e ticket showed different flights.
Apparently it takes a while to kick over - next day I ended up calling Qantas & the consultant said it hasn’t gone through yet & that she would “push it the extra mile”, & did it while I was on the line.
 
Update 2: My booking totally disappeared without Qatar or Qantas notifying me. Speaking on live chat and they said it was automatically canceled due to lack of valid ticket....

Now the fun will begin.....trying to get any seats back. This has probably happened because of the incorrect bkg class and creating an issue with having a new tkt issued. Hope someone at QF is taking ownership of the problem...

Doubt they will, this booking was cursed from the beginning when the rep booked my ticket as MRS not MR, refusing to rebook it. (I understand it doesn't make a difference so I never pushed them on it.)
 
They won't take responsibility unless you give them a prod! Looks like QF chat stuffed up comprehensively.

Sounds like you need to speak to some one about this. Chat is only ok for simple stuff. Call 7am & try to get a good consultant. Don’t forget HUACA (Hang up & try again) I know it’s a pain but if the call centre staff doesn’t understand, try again - I’ve had to do this twice & both times the 2nd one was excellent.

Have you checked availability for FF seats on other airlines. CX/KLM/MU seems to have avail when I have been looking at mid August to Rome from ADL. It is so hard to get seats back from other airlines. If it was QF only seats so much easier. Good luck.
 
Sounds like you need to speak to someone about this.

I gave the call center a ring and explained the issue. She didn't say much on the matter but obviously they realised there's a big mistake and put me on hold for a while only to tell me they will have to call me back to get this sorted out.

Online chat was trying to book me on economy and business legs, and offering totally different days all while offering to "waiving the booking fee" like he was doing me a favour.

Qantas called back like they said they would, kept it super short and to the point, rebooking my flight on the same one which was canceled. This time Checkmytrip shows a ticket number! and now I'm booking class "D" (If they keep this up I'll soon be F)

Qatar site is yet to allow me to check my booking reference/select seats so I'll just have to wait and see.

Overall Qantas support has been inconsistent between reps, but very helpful in making things right.

Good news....I cannot select seating on a QF award bkg and had to call QR. Hopefully you will see it on QR website

Good news.....still concerns me that they are holding D class iso U class but hey if it actually tkts and it is shown HK in the QR system all should be ok. I had to call QR for seating on my QFF award bkg.
