I think they have plenty of flights. Nothing wrong with a turboprop over a short sector.

How long does it take to deplane an 8 seater ? SFA.

Pax could probably save 3 hours or more, on a day trip or probably more by avoiding any security, parking right at terminal. Flying time negligibly different. Gather car parking is free, so another saving of $$$ there.

Obviously the $995 deal is a one off to get you hooked.

Must be stealing a lot of business off big boys on short haul, or is it?

Thinking about it, the drive LAX to SFO is about 5 hours. If you spend 2 hours at departingairport, then 30 minutes in aircraft q to take off & then 30 minutes actually flying, then 30 mins to get to gate, deplane & get to taxi, it would probably not be any saving in time, using big boys.

Yes you're not driving if flying - maybe sitting in a lounge & doing some work on flight.

Yep you’re misreading the offer. You can only have 2 active bookings at any one time and once a flight is full it’s full.
flights open 4 weeks in advance and each member can have only two active bookings meaning you can’t book tomorrow’s flight until you land today.
what you’ve proposed above to make it valuable is literally impossible unless you are very lucky or nobody else is a member.

If a return is 2, then you could book after 1 leg flown or if return is 1, then you could book 2 returns & book another return after 1st return flown.

Still they have so many flights can't imagine a drama getting a seat at short notice, as long as you ar perhaps a little bit flexible.

Surf air aren't new, but surely just trying to increase membership. The more members they have the more flights they can operate & still make a profit.

Still an amazing deal considering what last minute walk up fares are in U.S.

Two points:
- based on the published schedule there are 3 flights a day SF to LA all arriving after work starts at 9am (so your example of flying there for work ....)
- we don’t know if you even able to secure a last minute flight to compare all we know it’s available in theory (depending how many unlimited memberships they sold)
